Patient ratio experience of 6 patients per nurse is expected.

Experience with the Epic charting system is preferred.

Description:

Diagnoses include general medical-surgical cases, peritoneal dialysis, and radial band recovery.
Every other weekend coverage is required.
No call is required.
Travelers may be expected to float within the facility and scope of practice as needed.
If one major holiday falls during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it.
If two major holidays occur during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both holidays.
If three major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.
Full compliance is required to start on time.
Failure to meet compliance requirements on time may result in a delay of up to two weeks.
Travelers must be available to work within the assigned unit.
The unit includes interdisciplinary support teams such as IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
Daily patient census is approximately 20.
The unit has a total of 20 beds.
The patient age groups include adults and geriatrics.
Travelers should possess skills in managing dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, and IV management.
Special procedures and equipment details are not specified.
The department supports efforts in rapid response and code teams.
