Previous experience in Neuro Intensive Care Unit and associated skills
Description:
Minimum experience required is 2 years.
Unit accepts first time travelers.
Weekend coverage required every other weekend.
No call duty is expected.
Floating within facility and scope of practice may be required as needed.
Once the candidate has signed, the manager has 48 hours to review the profile and determine fit.
Compliance with all requirements is necessary to start on time; delays in compliance may push back the start date.
If one major holiday falls within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it.
If two major holidays occur, the traveler must work both.
If three major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day.
Full compliance is required to initiate the position.
Previous charge experience and familiarity with charting systems are preferred.
Two supervisory references are highly preferred.
Availability to submit core items and complete requirements promptly is essential.
Travelers must be prepared for orientation prior to the start of the assignment.
Expected abilities include managing patients with multi-system organ dysfunction, IV management, conducting assessments, and delivering emergency medications.
Travelers may work with a wide range of patient diagnoses.
Patience and excellent communication skills are necessary for this role.
Flexibility for other locations, units, and shifts may be considered upon submission.
