Distribution Center Manager

What You'll Do

• Provides strategic oversight to Race Trac Distributing initiatives to ultimately produce a lower cost to the organization due to efficient distribution and warehouse management
• Is proactive and create specific measures to improve and optimize changes that enhance the interactions between the warehouse and the Store teams
• Demonstrates consistent awareness of the business and industry as it changes and understands respective ramifications
• Interviews, hires, trains, coaches and supervises DC management; ensures their work aligns with the overall warehouse goals
• Ensures financial initiatives are achieved on a quarterly basis to include, but not limited to KPI’s, budgets, and operational scorecards
• Oversees all general warehouse support functions; including but not limited to, picking product for the stores, auditing store orders, code dating product maintaining the facility, and executing all ad hoc requests
• Partners with staffing agency to solidify proper staff, and ensures performance metrics are met
• Ensures all issues with vendors are documented and communicated to the SSC SCM team
• Serves as a point of contact for conflict management of associates for escalated issues
• Assist in risk assessment and mitigation activities to ensure all facilities are in compliance with both USDA and OSHA regulations
• Collaborates with the Transportation Manager to ensure all processes and procedures are consistently adhered to
• Partners with QA Manager and Continuous Improvement Manager to train DC Management and staff on all processes, systems (on-boarding, Empower, employee documentation, accounting etc.) and warehouse safety (i.e. operational, regulatory and administrative) to ensure consistent execution
• Has the ability to work rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift, in a fast-paced environment
• Has the ability to work a flexible schedule including to varying start/finish times, weekends, and holidays

• 5+ years related experience required
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Access required
