Overview

A growing manufacturing company is looking for a Procurement Manager to lead its purchasing team and modernize its sourcing and vendor strategy. This role oversees a team of four buyers and reports to the VP of Operations at a company undergoing rapid growth in the Southeastern US. The position offers a chance to build KPI-driven processes as the company rolls out a new ERP system.

• Lead a team of four buyers and manage sourcing strategies and vendor relationships.
• Develop KPI-driven procurement processes aligned with the ERP rollout.
• Partner with Operations leadership to balance cost, lead time, and ROI in supplier selections.
• Negotiate contracts to reduce lead times and costs with new and existing vendors.
• Monitor procurement performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Operations Management.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in a senior procurement or supply chain leadership role, ideally in manufacturing.
• Ability to lead a small team with strong personalities without micromanaging.
• Experience using ERP systems to track data and build performance metrics.

• Challenge of building and modernizing a procurement department from the ground up.
• Clear path to advancement into a Plant Manager or executive-level role within five to ten years.
• Collaborative team environment working closely with operations leadership.
