Career Heavy Assembler – Cartersville, GA
The role involves assembling fabricated parts into relatively large or heavy subassemblies or complete units, setting up jigs and fixtures, laying out reference points and aligning fabricated parts of metal or fiberglass according to blueprint and layout specifications, fabricating parts as required, and using hand tools, portable tools, hoists, and cranes to move materials, parts and assemblies.
Responsibilities- Assemble fabricated parts into relatively large or heavy subassemblies or complete units.
- Set up jigs and fixtures.
- Lay out reference points, position, align, and fit fabricated parts of metal or fiberglass mold according to blueprint and layout specifications.
- Fabricate parts as required.
- Use hand tools, portable tools, hoists and cranes to move materials, parts and assemblies.
- Follow all safety rules and practices.
- Be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Apply mechanical fastening (bolts, nuts, hucks).
- Apply appropriate torque sequences and values (certified).
- Operate overhead cranes.
- Use hand tools to bend or form parts.
- Perform tack welding.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Willingness to work 1st and 2nd shift.
