Job DescriptionWe seek an experienced and skilled individual to join our manufacturing team as a 2nd Shift Mid-Level Machine Operator. This role involves operating and overseeing various machines including CNC machines, folder machines, and press brake machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in machine operation, a strong technical aptitude, and a commitment to maintaining production efficiency, quality standards, and workplace safety.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC laser cutter, folder, and press brake machines to produce parts according to engineering drawings and job order specifications.
- Ensure machines are properly set up and calibrated for each production run.
- Monitor machine operations and adjust settings to ensure optimal performance and adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct regular quality inspections of produced parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and perform adjustments or repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve production issues and improve processes.
- Train and mentor entry-level machine operators on machine operation and best practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, as well as technical training or certification in machine operation, is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience operating CNC laser cutter machines, folder machines, and/or press brake machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance tasks on machines.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
