What You'll Do:
  • Lay out, position, align and fits together fabricated parts of metal according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics and sketches in preparation for welding
  • Tack-welds pieces together
  • Apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate and repair parts of metal or other weld‑able materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints schematics and sketches using manual and/or semi‑automatic welding equipment
  • Lay out and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies
  • Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications
  • Observe all standard safety practices and maintains and completes all required records
  • Follow all safety rules and practices

    Be involved in safety committees or initiatives
  • May perform GMAW, FCAW, or SMAW welding
  • May weld on stainless
  • Perform out-of-position welding and repairs
What You'll Need:
  • 1-2 years of experience preferred
  • Proficiency in fillet & grove weld, Oxy-Fuel Cutting, and Carbon Arcing
  • Ability to pass weld assessment
  • Ability to accurately measure within specified tolerances
  • Ability to work first shift hours 6:00am - 4:30pm and all required overtime to include weekends if required
