The
Career Mobile Equipment Operator
position is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who does not stray away from a challenge. In this position you will perform activities related to processing, receiving, recording, storing, and/or shipping of raw materials/finished goods. Operate mobile equipment (heavy equipment, forklift, cranes, yard vehicle, lift truck) to move materials/products between warehouse/manufacturing facilities. May utilize computer software to identify materials/goods, ensure accuracy of purchase orders and maintain inventory.
In this role, the Mobile Equipment Operator:
Operates mobile equipment such as lift trucks, overhead cranes, track mobiles/switch engine and/or yard vehicles in order to move materials and products between workstations and/or receiving and storage locations.
- Ensures proper identification of parts and materials.
- Can operate a lift truck with over 15,000-pound capacity
- Overhead crane (stationary) certified (move across plant)
- May operate mobile crane (move across yard)
- Operates multiple pieces of mobile equipment including lift trucks with greater than 55K pound capacity
- Follows all safety rules and practices.
- May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What you’ll need:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy mobile equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to work day or night shift and overtime
- Ability to stand and walk frequently, and at times consistently, throughout the shift
