Overview
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider to patients from birth through the lifecycle, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with Piedmont Healthcare's Mission and Vision Statements. The LPN functions within the framework of their license and the organization’s policies and procedures and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The LPN guides ancillary staff, collaborates with other health care professionals, and blends compassion, caring, and technologically appropriate competency to deliver holistic patient care.
RequirementsMust have acute care experience. Bed planner experience preferred.

The LPN guides ancillary staff, collaborates with other health care professionals in the provision of quality nursing care, and blends compassion, caring, and technologically appropriate competency to provide holistic care to the patient.
QualificationsEducation
- Graduate of an LPN program – Required
Work Experience
- New graduates of an accredited nursing school are eligible
- Nursing experience in hospital setting – Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse – State Licensure Required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
- Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area applying for – Preferred
- ACLS if working in Emergency Department – Required
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support if working in Emergency Department – Required within 180 days
- LPNs new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 180 days – Required
