Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and a GA or compact RN license, working night shifts on a 12-week contract.
Responsibilities- ICU setting within a hospital environment
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
- No schedule change requests or alternate shift arrangements are permitted
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- RTO is capped at a maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- Holiday coverage is required: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them — major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- Travel pairs are not permitted on the same shift within the same unit
- Candidates who have previously worked at any Piedmont facility must have been away for a full year before returning as a traveler
- Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time; non-compliance may result in a two-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required (hard stop)
- All applicable certifications must be current and copies provided for consideration
