Job Opportunity – Neuro Intensive Care Unit RN – Georgia

Start Date: March 16, 2026
Location: Cartersville, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 2:1 patient ratio; every other weekend required; no call

Highlights:

• 21-bed Neuro ICU specializing in complex neurological and post-neurosurgery care
• Epic charting system in place; strong interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory, pharmacy, and radiology
• Advanced care environment with IABP, external ventricular drains, ICP monitoring, and cardiac intervention support
• First-time travelers welcome; unit accepts candidates with 2+ years of ICU experience
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off; holiday coverage required per facility policy

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact State RN license required at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience (required)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Strong clinical skills in Neuro ICU care, including EVD and ICP monitoring, post-neurosurgery management, and pre/post cardiac catheterization/intervention
• Proficiency with IABP, sheath removal, arterial line management, and vasoactive/cardiac drip titration
• Experience with ventilated patients, blood product administration, and central line/PICC management
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred at time of submission
• Full compliance required prior to start date to ensure on-time orientation
