Inpatient Hospitalist – Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Piedmont Cartersville

Overview:

Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team as a full‑time inpatient provider at Piedmont Cartersville.

Responsibilities:

• Examine, evaluate, and treat patients with serious medical conditions, illnesses, or injuries.
• Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and record data in the patient’s medical record.
• Write progress notes; prepare patient work‑ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.
• Develop plans of care that minimize complications and troubleshoot problems when they arise, applying preventive and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications.
• Handle cross‑cover calls and assist with admissions.

Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

2–3 years of Inpatient Hospitalist experience with a high degree of clinical judgment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited PA program and national board certification.
• OR licensed as a registered nurse and approved to practice as an NP by the State of Georgia with national certification.
