LPN - Bed Control​/Transfer Center, Part Time Evenings

Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing the nursing process in accordance with Piedmont Healthcare's Mission and Vision Statements. The role functions within the framework of their license and the policy and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The Licensed Practical Nurse guides ancillary staff, collaborates with other health care professionals in the provision of quality nursing care, and blends compassion, caring, and technologically appropriate competency to deliver holistic care to the patient.

Requirements: Must have acute care experience. Bed planner experience preferred.

This is a Bed Planner / Transfer Center position. The position works closely with the Nursing Supervisor on shift to accommodate bed requests for patient needs and coordinates all incoming and outgoing transfer requests.

Education

• Graduate of an LPN program – Required

Work Experience

• New graduates of an accredited nursing school are eligible
• Nursing Experience in a Hospital Setting – Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure – Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support – Required
• Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area – Preferred
• ACLS – Required if working in Emergency Department
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required within 180 days if working in Emergency Department
• LPNs new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 180 days
