American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU Float Pool position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and a GA or compact RN license, with night shift availability and hospital-wide float coverage including the ED.
Details- Hospital-based float pool position covering PCU, Med/Surg, and ED hold units
- Patient population includes post-surgical, medical, PCU stepdown, and ED hold patients
- Floating is required hospital-wide, including the Emergency Department
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Local candidates are accepted
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- PCU, Med/Surg, or ED experience required given float pool scope
- Current certifications must be provided at time of consideration
- No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests will be accommodated
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
- Travelers must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one full year before returning as a traveler
- RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- Holiday coverage policy: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler must work two of them and may request one holiday off
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- Full compliance with onboarding requirements is required on time; delays result in a two-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
- Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred for consideration
