Onsite Nurse Practitioner
The Onsite Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides advanced clinical care and occupational health services at assigned construction project sites in Georgia. This role is responsible for the assessment, treatment, and management of workplace injuries and illnesses, while supporting injury prevention and return-to-work initiatives.
Duties- Clinical Care & Injury Management
- Perform advanced clinical assessments and provide diagnosis and treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses
- Deliver onsite care including wound management, splinting, minor procedures, and triage
- Determine appropriate level of care (onsite treatment vs. referral to outside medical providers)
- Respond to acute medical/trauma incidents and provide stabilization as needed
- Case Management & Return-to-Work
- Serve as the primary onsite clinical resource for injury management
- Develop and manage return-to-work plans in coordination with case management and client leadership
- Communicate work restrictions and care plans clearly to employees and supervisors
- Ensure appropriate follow-up care and continuity of treatment
- Occupational Health & Safety Support
- Partner with site safety teams to support injury prevention initiatives
- Participate in job site walkthroughs to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Provide education on injury prevention, ergonomics, and workforce health
- Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation in EMR
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and state regulations
- Complete incident reports and client-required documentation
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop strong working relationships with client representatives, project managers, and safety personnel
- Act as a clinical liaison between OccuMedX and the client
- Provide insight into injury trends and recommendations for improving workforce health
- Medical Equipment & Supplies Management
- Ensure availability and proper function of medical equipment, supplies, and medications necessary for emergency care and first aid
- Conduct regular inventory checks, maintain stock levels, and oversee storage and organization of medical supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of the onsite clinic and office
- Other duties as assigned
- Education & Experience
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Georgia required
- Board certification (FNP, AGNP, or similar) required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience (urgent care, emergency medicine, occupational health, or similar)
- Experience in occupational health, construction, or industrial settings preferred
- Experience with workers’ compensation case management preferred

- Onsite construction setting (exposure to weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain)
- Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; must be able to regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
- May require extended hours, weekends, or variable schedules based on project needs
