American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with Epic charting experience for a night shift position requiring GA or compact licensure.
Details- Community hospital Emergency Department setting treating combined adult/pediatric patients
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
- Epic charting experience required
- Active GA or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
- CPI, ENCP, FHM, and TNCC certifications preferred
- Community hospital experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Level I and Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
- Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line management
- Experience managing violent behavior and psychiatric patients
- Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Copies of all required certifications needed for consideration
- Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred for consideration
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of patient acuities including psychiatric, respiratory, cardiac, and neurological cases
- Perform triage and manage patients experiencing acute psychosis, suicidal ideation, or drug overdose
- Administer and monitor procedural sedation and continuous IV sedation as needed
- Manage patients on BiPAP/CPAP and ventilator support
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Full compliance required prior to start date, with a two-week delay possible if not met due to biweekly orientation scheduling
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized at time of submission
- No RTO can be requested during orientation week
- Holiday coverage required based on how many major holidays fall within the assignment period
- Former Piedmont perm, per diem, or FCSS employees must wait one full year before applying as a traveler
- Travelers previously not returned to a Piedmont facility must complete one successful assignment elsewhere before reapplying
