Retail & Store Manager, Operations Manager
Position Summary
Leads, develops, and mentors teams by providing training, listening to associates, and delivering feedback during store tours. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, merchandising, and company initiatives, including technology and business solutions. Provides clear expectations and guidance for implementing change efforts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintains exceptional customer service standards by modeling the One Best Way (OBW) service model and driving related initiatives. Resolves customer complaints and issues while developing action plans for improvement. Oversees financial performance and sales of designated store areas by reviewing PL statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Manages merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes while mitigating shrink. Supervises and develops hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, and providing recognition.
Builds high‑performing teams that embrace diversity, foster belonging, and promote ethical conduct. Utilizes the Open Door Policy and supports compliance with company policies, ethics, and integrity. Adapts to changes in the retail environment, makes data‑driven decisions, and drives continuous improvement with technology adoption and skill development.
- 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
- For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For facilities that sell ammunition and have state‑specific requirements, a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live‑Better U and Bellevue University.
- Experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
Annual salary range: $65,000.00 – $.
- Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
- Additional compensation for certain positions may include:
Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) based on location;
Complex Structure based on external factors;
State Pay Differential to meet legislative requirements (where applicable).
