Part-Time Water, Fire and Mold Technician
Job OverviewWe are looking for a construction professional who wants to transition into water, fire, and mold restoration. The role involves assisting our Certified Water Technicians with restoration and specialized cleaning. Apprentices who demonstrate skill will be eligible for company‑paid training and certification under IICRC guidelines, a company truck, increased responsibilities and higher pay after six months with a proven track record.
Service Master performs emergency cleanup after fire and water losses, mold remediation, carpet cleaning, and bio‑hazard cleanup. The Water Technician must be able to calculate the number of drying units required for each loss, use our Drying Workbook software to track work, and document drying progress.
Responsibilities- Assist in restoration projects and specialized cleaning
- Calculate drying equipment needs and operate Drying Workbook software
- Work independently or as part of a team to accomplish daily goals
- Respond to 24‑hour emergency calls, including occasional evening and weekend work
- Strong knowledge of basic hand tools and construction industry best practices
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Subject to a pre‑employment background check
- Must pass a drug test
- Physically able to lift objects weighing 50+ pounds on a regular basis
- Willing to work long hours, occasional evenings, weekends, and overtime
- On‑call availability as needed
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
- Self‑motivated, clean‑cut, and a team player who can also work independently
- Excellent math skills
