We are hiring six experienced Access Control /Structured Cabling Technicians for an immediate-start data center construction project in Cartersville, Georgia.
This is a high-spec, mission-critical construction environment where clean installation work, cable management, quality, safety, and attention to detail matter. We are looking for dependable technicians with hands‑on experience in access control, security cabling, Cat6, copper, fiber, and commercial low‑voltage installation who can start quickly and work professionally in a fast‑paced project setting.
What You Will Be Doing- Rough‑in and install 18/6 security cable for doors and access‑control devices.
- Pull and install Cat6 for cameras, security devices, and network infrastructure.
- Dress, label, terminate, and test Cat6 and copper cabling to project standards.
- Terminate card readers, REX devices, DPS contacts, hinges, door hardware, and related access‑control devices.
- Route and organize pre‑terminated fiber and copper cable bundles.
- Install patch panels, enclosures, cable managers, pathways, and structured cabling infrastructure.
- Assist with copper and fiber testing, documentation, and quality checks.
- Read drawings, device layouts, cable schedules, and installation instructions.
- Maintain clean cable pathways, racks, telecom spaces, and organized work areas.
- Follow strict jobsite safety, quality, and data center installation standards.
- 3+ years of commercial low‑voltage, access control, security, structured cabling, or network installation experience.
- Proven experience terminating Cat5e/Cat6 and installing access‑control devices.
- Experience with card readers, REX devices, DPS contacts, door hardware, security cabling, and related devices.
- Experience routing fiber and copper cabling; fiber testing experience is a strong plus.
- Ability to read blueprints, cable schedules, device drawings, and installation layouts.
- Experience working on data centers, healthcare, industrial, large commercial, or other high‑spec construction projects is preferred.
- Reliable transportation and ability to report to Cartersville, GA each day.
- Ability to work from ladders, lift materials, and perform hands‑on field installation work.
- Strong attendance, professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to clean work.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Type II hard hat with chin strap
