Speech Pathologist
Step into a vital role supporting young learners as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist, providing services at an elementary school in a welcoming community near Cartersville, GA. This maternity leave position offers a full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week) and the chance to make a significant impact in the lives of children aged 5-11. Youll collaborate with an experienced team, contributing your clinical expertise to help students achieve their communication goals in a supportive school environment.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
- Current active SLP license
- GaPSC SLP Educator Certification required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred
- Recent experience in school-based settings, preferably with elementary-aged students
- Strong assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and deliver therapy for a diverse elementary caseload
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in accordance with school guidelines
- Provide strategies and support for classroom teachers to optimize carryover of communication goals
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and student support initiatives
