Warehouse Supervisor – OverviewAHF Products has a great career opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to be located at our Cartersville Warehouse in Cartersville GA. The Warehouse Supervisor supervises/coordinates inventory and activities of workers concerned with receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in stockroom, warehouse, or yard. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for providing leadership to Warehouse associates concerning safety, quality, production performance and team development.
Job Duties- Continuously improve the layout of the Warehouse as product mix changes and new products are added and dropped.
- Drive productivity improvements at the Warehouse to improve service and cost performance.
- Closely coordinate with Purchasing, Planning and Production to ensure an optimized flow of inbound and outbound material.
- Review records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
- Work closely with the Leaders to assign duties and follow up on the work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
- Maintain clear and efficient communication with manufacturing planning and scheduling to manage inventory and ensure continuous stock availability in line with policy, eliminating stock‑out risks.
- Participate in site management meetings to provide guidance on resource allocation and shipment schedules to meet market demands.
- Prioritize and allocate resources for shipping and receiving, including purchasing and dispatching finished goods.
- Oversee regular stock counts, ensure variances are investigated and justified, and verify daily stock movement reconciliations.
- Plan, review, and authorize all inter‑warehouse stock transfers, both inbound and outbound.
- Recommend and approve destruction of non‑conforming stock in compliance with customs regulations and quality standards.
- Lead the associate training planning and execution for Warehouse responsibilities and lead a culture of teamwork, flexibility, and collaboration and ensure accountability within that.
- Advise and coach employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems.
- Document programs and electrical systems of equipment and machines using appropriate programs in accordance with safety requirements and quality system procedures.
- Be a role model for safety. Promote a zero‑injury safety culture and find ways to continually improve safety culture in the workplace. Stop any observed work activities or conditions that are dangerous, illegal, or against company policy.
- Identify safety issues in the workplace and assume responsibility to take immediate action to correct or immediately escalates to appropriate level for resolution.
- Support the site manager in workforce management through supervision, performance evaluation, talent development, and staff engagement.
- Able to be perceptive and have a strong awareness of surroundings to identify potential risks and communicate these risks to employees.
- Respond promptly to customer needs; respond to requests for service and assistance; meet commitments.
- Balance team and individual responsibilities; build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to demonstrate practical problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent analytical, communications, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse group of employees.
- Ability to use computer programs and processes (Excel, Word, M3, Access, etc.).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience within manufacturing, warehouse, or related environment.
- Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check, employment verification, and drug screening.
