GA - Distribution Center Associate

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting the daily functions of the Race Trac warehouse. This individual works to ensure quality orders are processed and shipped to the designated locations in a timely fashion. This position requires working until end-of-shift until all product is loaded onto trucks in a safe and efficient manner. Working weekends and holidays are required in order to successfully fulfill store orders.

Job requires working in areas with temperature and humidity variations based on different work environments (Dry, Cooler, & Freezer).

• Carries out daily warehouse tasks to support an efficient and effective warehouse, including: using WMS unit technology to pick product within various environments (Dry, Cooler, Freezer) for store orders
• Stacking product on pallets in accordance with proper selecting procedures
• Operates an electric pallet jack and/or forklift to transport product
• Maintains and safely operates all assigned equipment, including pallet jack, WMS unit technology, and PPE; performs pre- and post-trip inspections
• Code dating product
• Cleaning the warehouse and equipment
• Staging product in designated locations for shipping
• Loading product onto delivery trucks
• Labeling totes with routing information
• Shrink-wrapping product onto pallets
• Baling cardboard and disposing of garbage
• Sorting totes and trays
• Adhering to safety regulations (food and warehouse) and reporting unsafe conditions
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds; frequently reach up to 72 inches; ability to work in cold environments up to
  -8°; ability to work at a rapid pace; flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

• 1+ years professional experience preferred
• Knowledge of warehouse operations is a plus
