Manufacturing Controls Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a Manufacturing Controls Engineer within our Manufacturing Engineering team to support our automotive business. The role will focus on design, development, programming, integration, commissioning, and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing equipment and control systems.

• Design, program, commission, and support automated manufacturing control systems.
• Design electrical control panels, machine wiring, and control architectures.
• Develop and maintain electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, robots, servo systems, and automated equipment.
• Support production through equipment troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts.
• Implement new manufacturing technologies and automation projects.
• Train maintenance and production personnel on control systems.
• Support ECR and MCR implementation activities.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of AC/DC electrical systems, industrial power distribution, PLC programming, HMI development, motion control, robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical schematics, automation networks, project management, troubleshooting, and technical communication.

Work in both office and manufacturing environments with frequent interaction with electrical equipment, machinery, and automated systems.
