We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Load Planner within our Fleet Service team to help support our business. As a Load Planner you will have the opportunity to support the organization’s global supply chain solutions. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by working closely with various departments to ensure efficient, timely delivery of operations.

What will you be doing as a Load Planner?
  • Maintain effective communication with drivers and customers to ensure deliveries in a timely manner.
  • Build and foster excellent working relationships with drivers and branch personnel.
  • Schedule equipment maintenance to ensure vehicle availability and readiness.
  • Track and trace load movements to monitor progress and resolve any issues.
  • Maintain friendly, efficient service to drivers, customers, and office personnel.
  • Maintain timely, accurate records in planning sheets.
  • Communicate with Leggett branches and outside brokers to secure freight.
  • Accept load tenders and confirm load details to ensure smooth transportation operations.
  • Plan loads to minimize deadhead and idle time.
  • Plan around holidays and weather to maintain service to customers.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
  • 3 years of load planning/dispatch experience.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple demands while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
  • Knowledge and experience with DOT regulations and transportation industry.
  • Available for on‑call duty during holidays and weekends.
  • Proficiency in McLeod, Qualcomm, and Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • Ability to work within a team setting.
