WhatYou'll Do
As a Raw Materials Planner, you will be responsible for executing the activities of planning and scheduling materials for Carthage manufacturing. You will interact closely with Procurement, Production, Supply Chain Planning & Distribution. Other duties include:
- Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral-based safety
- Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives and regulations
- Live and foster the Dyno Nobel Values
- Align with Business Excellence, identify and implement a framework to reduce waste and improve quality, productivity, resource utilization and safety performance within the assigned departments.
- Participate in weekly cross-functional metric reviews (OTIF, MPS Stability, MTP), conduct or participate in analyses using 5 Why, Fishbone, or RCA and put countermeasures in place.
- Provide input to management to optimize resources and capacity and meet objectives for manufacturing efficiencies, inventory levels, and customer service.
- Resupply planning and inventory management for raw materials and semi-finished goods within the manufacturing plant.
- Work collaboratively with Production, Material Control, Procurement and Supply Chain to guide inventory management strategies that ensure optimal inventory to cover service level requirements and mitigate risks in continuity of supply while ensuring lowest cost to serve.
- Build mutually beneficial relationships with vendors (material and transportation) to maintain excellent service and create improvement opportunities.
- Understand and maximize SAP capability for resupply planning including improving data integrity and implementing functionality to improve product flow into the manufacturing plant.
- Participate in inventory control process (ABC cycle count, inventory adjustments) to ensure SAP inventory accuracy.
- Participate in analyses of inventory adjustments using 5 Why, Fishbone, or RCA and put countermeasures in place.
- Participate in supplier visits and quality audits.
- Conduct Dyno Nobel raw material inventory audits at 3rd party locations at a minimum once per fiscal year.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent (Preferred).
- 2+ years working and functioning in an industrial/manufacturing environment (Preferred).
- 4+ years' experience in a related field (Preferred).
- Knowledge of inventory management and supply planning.
- Knowledge of SAP and other MRP related planning suites desired.
- Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
