Production Associate; night shift

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Production Associate within our manufacturing team to help support our business.

The Production Associate will set up and control operation of single or multiple production machines for the process of manufacturing products.

• Upon completion of a roll or container, the roll or container is closed and the Production Associate places it on a shipping container.
• Produce quality products and identify any quality issues; notify the appropriate person to fix the machine if necessary.
• Operate the Extruder and Grid machines.
• Ensure all work conforms with the environmental policy and procedures and with the requirements of the environmental management system.

• Must have basic math and mechanical skills.
• Must be able to use measuring tools and understand and follow simple blueprints.
• Must be committed to 100% quality, continuous quality improvement, safety and good housekeeping.
• Must be able to lift 70 lb and/or move 1,000 lb of equipment on wheels, if required.
• Must be able to work in teams on continuous improvement projects, maintain a good attendance record and be willing to learn.
• Must have sufficient dexterity and mechanical understanding to operate an automated machine.
• Must understand and follow written and verbal instructions, including construction blueprints and documentation of ongoing processes.
• Must have aptitude for identifying proper product quality.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing skills improvement classes and efforts in IATF-16949/ISO-9001:2015, Kaizen, and SMED.

Monday to Thursday from 4:45 pm to 3:15 am or 6:45 pm to 5:15 am.

Shift differential of $2.00 per hour.
