2nd Shift Production- Pallet Jack Operator

The function of the job is to safely transport products from areas of production or storage to another established destination. This could involve the loading or unloading of trucks.

• Must have both Pallet Jack and Forklift certification and be able to maintain a good safety record.
• Safely operate powered industrial trucks, including forklifts and electric/manual pallet jacks.
• Move, load, unload, and store product throughout the facility.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
• Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure proper and safe operation.
• Support production teams by delivering materials as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work environment.
• Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals.
• Adhere to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) product standards and guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or related education.

• Follows all safety, USDA, and GMP policies and guidelines.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to read and write.
• Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours.
• Maintain a good safety record.
• Must have good mobility and good eye/hand coordination.
• Basic computer skills, as you will be required to check out PIT equipment through safety chain.

• Prior forklift operator experience.
• Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment.

• Standing (8 hours a day or more).
• Frequent bending, lifting, pulling, and pushing of materials up to 50 lbs or more.
• Ability to climb in and out of powered industrial trucks safely.
• Good hand‑eye coordination and ability to operate controls precisely.
• Ability to work in a cold, damp environment.
• Capability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Maintain alertness and focus in a fast‑paced environment.

• Work is performed in a food processing plant with a high noise level, storage coolers/facilities.
• Position requires working around processing plant equipment.
• Must be physically capable of working extended hours if needed and in a wet environment, standing for long periods of time, and operating processing equipment.
• This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environment.
• The noise level of the office environment is usually moderate; the noise level in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 dBA and require hearing protection.
