Production Associate; day shift

Leggett & Platt Automotive is a global provider of wire forms, mechanical control cables, wireless charging, and seating components for the automotive industry. We design, manufacture, and sell a variety of products that meet strict quality and industry standards.

• Operate a grid/lumbar assembly machine that processes straight wire to form a mat for automotive seat assembly.
• Carry completed bundles of approximately 50 pieces to a strapping machine for tying and placement in a shipping container.
• Ensure product quality and notify the appropriate person to fix the machine if necessary.
• Perform other duties as requested or as deemed appropriate.
• Conform to environmental policy, procedures, and the requirements of the environmental management system.

• Dexterity and mechanical understanding required to operate an automated machine.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instruction, including construction blueprints and process documentation.
• Aptitude for identifying proper product quality.
• Capability to lift objects not exceeding 70 pounds.
• Basic understanding of and full compliance with standard safety practices.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing skills improvement classes and efforts (IATF-16949/ISO-9001:2015, Kaizen, SMED).
• Work schedule:
  
  Monday to Thursday, 6:45 am to 5:15 pm.
