Position responsibilities and qualifications are summarized below.
Primary Duties- Maintain production on all machinery within the automated cell to meet performance and quality objectives.
- Perform basic tool changeovers, tool offsets, and machine maintenance.
- Chamfer and load raw material onto the bar feeders.
- Rework non-conforming product as necessary.
- Assist in the packaging and handling of finished product and raw materials.
- Assist with all of the material handler duties when possible.
- Report to the supervisor any problems within the automated cell.
- Discontinue production and notify supervisor if the process does not meet specifications or is suspected nonconforming.
- Identify and record any problems related to product, process, and management system.
- Control further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conforming product until corrected.
- Initiate action to prevent non-conformity or costly downtime.
- Recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
- Verify implementation of solutions.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Report to the supervisor, management team members, or administrative staff.
- Manage any continuous improvement recommendations.
- Follow all written procedures, work instructions, and quality plans.
- Conform to all quality and safety requirements and procedures.
- Participate in the continuous improvement process.
- Perform all other duties as requested or deemed appropriate.
- Operate machinery efficiently.
- Perform machine tool offsets.
- Report any serious problems to the supervisor.
- Accurately use and understand basic inspection tools.
- Perform machine maintenance.
- Understand work instructions and quality plans for the process.
- Be able to perform all 30-day requirements.
- Make tooling changes.
- Inspect finished product for quality defects.
- Know and understand all nonconformance and specifications.
- Understand all processes involved with the position.
