OverviewCleans floors, dumps trash carts, move barrels of waste from production area, be able to clean a line with chemicals in the event of contamination or changeovers.
Responsibilities- When product falls on floor, uses a squeegee to scrape up scrap
- Responsible for shoveling scrap into barrels
- Need to remove barrels from the area when half to ¾ full, by loading barrels onto a skid
- Tracking and recording of accurate waste weights
- Use a pallet jack to move skid with barrels to slop area for sanitation to empty
- Take out trash carts full of empty boxes, plastic or other items and put into appropriate disposable containers
- If not already trained, you will need to be willing to be trained on how to use and mix the different chemicals to clean a line for contamination or changeovers
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Temperatures throughout plant average 50 degrees. Temperatures in the cooking area can exceed 80 degrees. Required to wear hairnet, smock, boots or overshoes, ear plugs, gloves, plastic sleeves, and aprons provided by the Company. Need to comply with Food Safety: GMP's SSOP, SOP, HACCP, SQF and Quality requirements
- Prefer High School Diploma or GED
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, Self-Driven, Minimum Supervision
- Pallet jack Certification
- Report all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts & horseplay
- Use proper lifting techniques
- Use handrails
- Follow GMP regulations
- Use and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including bumpcaps
