Job Description

As the Sanitation Supervisor, you will be a hands‑on leader, expert and advocate. You'll deploy, monitor and enhance sanitation programs to assure processes are effective and meet company standards. You will lead sanitation crews, coordinating CIP and manual cleaning activities, partner training, inspection and continuous process improvement efforts. The role is 100% on‑site at our Fairview Plant in Carthage, Missouri and is off‑shift, scheduled Friday to Tuesday from 11 pm to 7 am.

This shift qualifies for the off‑shift bonus.

• Relocation benefit: $10,000 relocation bonus plus a generous relocation package for moves greater than 50 miles.

• Lead plant sanitation activities.
• Work with sanitation crews and cross‑functional teams to effectively clean/sanitize equipment and the plant before resuming operation.
• Deploy and enforce sanitation processes efficiently.
• Develop crew performance through training, coaching and performance feedback.
• Monitor compliance via hands‑on monitoring, inspection, swabbing and coaching.
• Maintain and use plant sanitation records to monitor performance and drive improvement.
• Conduct pre‑operation inspection, equipment swabbing and environmental monitoring.
• Administer and monitor conformance to the Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Partner with production and maintenance to establish effective sanitation practices necessary for a food‑safe environment.
• Coordinate training of sanitation and janitorial partners on required job responsibilities.
• Deploy plant training modules and utilize internal resources and external expertise for partner development.
• Evaluate the performance of existing suppliers of cleaning agents and technologies.
• Optimize resources through effective scheduling and lean sanitation processes.
• Maintain a safe work environment by deploying and monitoring JHA, lock‑out/tag‑out and MSDS training.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Food Quality Plans and customer requirements, interpret and communicate customer requirements to plant production and support groups, and establish and audit PCPs, CCPs and SOPs.
• Review incidents where procedures were not met and determine appropriate corrective action.

• High School diploma/GED and a technical degree in Food, Dairy, Biology, Chemistry or related field (preferred but not required).
• 3–7 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Experience in sanitation or quality control (desired).
• Experience with federal or state government compliance audits related to food manufacturing (plus).
• Food plant sanitation certification; pest and rodent control licenses (plus).
• Proficiency in sanitation procedures and GMP/IAB requirements in a food manufacturing environment.
• Clear understanding of quality, OSHA, FDA and USDA food safety requirements.
• Effective teaching of specific sanitation procedures.
• Strong decision‑making ability.
• Works well with limited direction.
• Interacts well with others and develops cohesive relationships with partners who do not directly report to them.
• Efficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Effective communicator.
• Ability to travel up to 5% of time.
