Required to assist in the provision of Security Services in an extremely busy hospital environment. The successful candidate will work within a team providing response to security incidents, alarm and fire calls throughout the site. Many response calls involve violent and/or aggressive scenarios. The role also includes site patrols, handling of cash, dealing with and assisting the general public, traffic management across the site and a range of additional duties.

• Assist Trust management in the provision of effective and efficient Security Services using all equipment and resources available.
• Provide essential Fire and Rescue Team response to the helipad where required.
• Respond to security incidents, alarms and fire calls across the site.
• Conduct site patrols and manage traffic, ensuring safety and order.
• Handle cash and assist the public with information and guidance.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Security Team Manager.

• Effective communication and writing skills; capable of working alone or within a team.
• Current full manual UK driving licence and comfort operating light vans.
• Ability to work flexible rota including overnight and weekend shifts.

• NVQ or equivalent qualifications in security or related fields.
• Experience in customer service, portering or security roles.
• Previous firefighting experience and familiarity with CCTV and other security equipment.
• Keyboard and computer proficiency.
• Knowledge of trust sites, electrical equipment, tugs and hand‑barrows.
