Job DescriptionJob Title: Coach/Sponsor
Responsible to: Athletic Director/Principal
Qualifications- Missouri State Teaching Certificate (Head Coach)
- Substitute Certificate (Assistant Coach)
- To develop a program for the students, school and community.
- Ensure all paperwork is on file and submitted in a timely manner to the appropriate office.
- Monitor academics, regulations, and guidelines.
- Supervise all students under your control.
- Follow all school and MSHSAA guidelines regarding athletic safety.
- Work with the athletic director in the appointment and evaluation of assistants.
- Conform to athletic department policy in ordering equipment and supplies and turning in an end of the year inventory list.
- Plan and supervise all practice sessions.
- Conform to activities policies in handling injuries; report all serious injuries immediately to the parents and athletic director.
- Stay up to date in current coaching philosophies and trends.
- Maintain open lines of communication with administration, staff members, coaches, players and parents, emphasizing the proper chain of command.
Report all results to the area newspapers, radio and television stations.
