We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Load Planner within our Fleet Service team to help support our business. Our high‑quality components are in everyday products such as mattresses, cars, planes, and furniture, ensuring a more comfortable life for people worldwide.

As a Load Planner you will support the organization’s global supply chain solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the business by working closely with various departments to ensure efficient, timely delivery of operations.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain effective communication with drivers and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Build and foster excellent working relationships with drivers and branch personnel.
  • Schedule equipment maintenance to ensure vehicle availability and readiness.
  • Track and trace load movements to monitor progress and resolve any issues.
  • Maintain friendly, efficient service to drivers, customers, and office personnel.
  • Maintain timely, accurate records in planning sheets.
  • Communicate with Leggett branches and outside brokers to secure freight.
  • Accept load tenders and confirm load details to ensure smooth transportation operations.
  • Plan loads to minimize deadhead and idle time.
  • Plan around holidays and weather to maintain service to customers.
Qualifications
  • 3 years of load planning/dispatch experience.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple demands while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
  • Knowledge and experience with DOT regulations and transportation industry.
  • Available for on‑call duty during holidays and weekends.
  • Proficiency in McLeod, Qualcomm, and Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • Ability to work within a team setting.
