- UT Health Carthage boasts 23 private patient rooms featuring a 24‑hour emergency department, designated as a Level IV trauma center with advanced diagnostic technology, a cardiac rehabilitation program, a GI lab, outpatient clinics and a sleep lab.
Functions as primary scrub technologist for a variety of routine and complex procedures, while consistently demonstrating clinical skills with confidence and competence. Individual is responsible for ensuring, along with other surgical team members, that they maintain the sterile field, applying aseptic technique principles to ensure a safe, aseptic, and cost effective environment to all patients that clearly spells quality and excellence.

QualificationsJob Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program and hold current certification with one of the following:
The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, the National Center for Competency Testing or another surgical technologist certification program approved by the Texas Department of State Health Service. - BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Job Requirements
- Technical/Vocational degree
- One (1) year operating room experience
