Industrial Electrician
An Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings such as manufacturing plants, refineries, and production facilities. This role ensures that all electrical components operate safely and efficiently to support continuous plant operations.
Key Responsibilities- Install, test, and maintain electrical systems, components, and equipment (e.g., motors, generators, transformers, control panels).
- Diagnose electrical issues using testing devices (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
- Repair or replace faulty wiring, circuits, and electrical components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot PLCs (programmable logic controllers) and automation systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, electrical codes, and company policies.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams, engineers, and production staff.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime.
