• Lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials using mechanical equipment.
• Attaching loads using chains, slings, cables, hooks, and other related equipment.
• Manually handling and securely applying rigging equipment.
• Attaching and detaching loads effectively.
• Monitoring and maintaining all rigging equipment.
• Communicating effectively with the rigging team, including other riggers and the crane operator.
• Utilizing standard crane hand signals.
• Assessing weight of loads and determining required lifting apparatus.

• Actively participate in a strong safety culture.
• Recognize safety hazards and risks.
• Participate in on‑site safety meetings.
• Follow OPD and client safety policies and procedures.
• Be aware of changing conditions on an active jobsite.
• Arrive on time and be ready for work each day.
• Display a positive attitude and work well in a team environment.

• Work in outdoor conditions, including extreme heat, humidity, cold, and high elevations.
• Lift and carry awkward objects up to 60 lbs.
• Stand for extended periods up to 11 hours per day with 2.5‑hour break intervals.
• Use arms, legs, climb, lift, balance, walk, stoop, crawl, twist, reach, and bend regularly.
• Use hands to handle, control, and feel objects and tools.

• At least 1.5 years of experience as a rigger or ironworker.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• NCCER Rigger Certification Level 1.
• Follow company safety procedures and industry best practices.
• Knowledge of crane hand and verbal signals.
• Willingness to travel to remote areas with extended absences from home.
• Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and up to 7 days per week when required.
• Ability to meet all physical demands of the job.

• Previous experience in a gas plant construction environment.
• 3+ years experience as an ironworker or rigger.
• NCCER Rigger Certification Level 2 or higher.
