You Will Do Some core responsibilities for a Torque Technician include:
- Torque Tech is responsible for the executing technical bolting and joint integrity services in accordance with approved site and company procedures.
- Must have knowledge in operating calibrated tools, including torque wrenches, pneumatic and hydraulic torquing equipment. Must be able to calibrate pneumatic and hydraulic torquing equipment to desire torque pressure.
- Able to identify and use all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned work.
- Able to properly bolt up flanges using correct materials as indicated on the BOM.
- Able to identify when a flange connection in not properly installed, hi/lo, wrong gasket or bolts.
- Actively participate in a strong safety culture
- Recognize safety hazards and risks
- Participate in onsite safety meetings
- Follow OPD and client safety policies and procedures
- Be aware of changing conditions on an active jobsite
- Be on time to the jobsite each day ready for work
- Display a positive attitude and be able to work in a team environment
- High attention to detail to avoid reworks and errors
