Temporary Customer Service Position

This temporary customer service position is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of customer orders while providing exceptional customer support throughout the order lifecycle. This role serves as a key liaison between customers and internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met and operational objectives are achieved.

Order Management:

• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently from receipt through fulfillment.
• Review orders for completeness, pricing accuracy, product availability, and delivery requirements.
• Monitor order status and proactively communicate updates, delays, or changes to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate order modifications, cancellations, returns, and credits as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and service level expectations.
• Investigate and resolve order-related issues to ensure a positive customer experience.

Customer Support:

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries regarding orders, products, pricing, delivery status, and account information.
• Respond to customer requests in a professional, timely, and customer-focused manner.
• Utilize active listening, empathy, and problem solving to resolve customer concerns and escalate complex issues when appropriate.

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and business relationships.

This role is not remote/hybrid and will report to the Sherwin-Williams Manufacturing Plant located at 201 Jandus Road, Cary, IL 60013.

Position Requirements:

Required:

• High School Diploma
• Must be eighteen years of age or older
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
• Customer service, order management or related experience.
• Experience working with ERP or order management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Must be able to work independently and adapt quickly to change within a team environment.
• Effective problem-solving and customer relationship management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook

Preferred:

• Enrolled in College or pursuing College Degree

Additional Comments:

Customer Support hours range from open Mon-Fri 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Team members are expected to work flexible shifts within those hours, as business needs dictate.
