The Role:
As the CNC Machining Supervisor, youwill be providing engineering and manufacturing leadership to production cellsthrough programing expertise, tooling usage specification, and integration ofnew technology training. Lead CNCproduction efficiency improvements through technology specification, best practice manufacturing methodologies, and personnel training.
Your Responsibilities:
- Ensures safety work practices and enforces safety policies.
- Ensure parts are manufactured in accordance with customer specifications.
- Adhere to Quality System, reject and rework parts must be identified and tagged. MRB's must be dispositioned immediately. Root cause and corrective actions must be completed in a prompt manner.
- Develop and sustain methodology for tool organization, management, and control in CNC area.
- Develop and sustain methodology for fixture organization, management, and control in CNC area.
- Responsible for CNC Program Organization and Control.
- Provides guidance on programming to optimize production efficiencies, as well as performs programming functions for new or complex design requirements.
- Identifies and develops training programs for CNC personnel based on identified skills gaps or improvement initiatives.
- Responsible for development and use of CNC process specifications (aka CNC S/U sheets)
- Provides CNC machining and tooling costs to estimating for proper job cost evaluation.
- Develops, recommends, and implements improvements to the CNC production process including machining methods, tooling, and process control strategies.
- Participates in PQA process for new designs and provides guidance on methods, tooling, and process controls.
- Oversees launch of new designs into the CNC production cells, insuring that all relevant personnel understand machining requirements and proper tooling is engaged.
- Recommends new equipment and equipment enhancements and insures that these capital investments are deployed properly with sufficient training to accomplish goals.
- Implement MDC, PDM, and DNC with Predator hardware and software.
- Attends relevant seminars, trade shows, and other events as necessary to continue expanding knowledge base of available technology and manufacturing improvements available.
- Be a driver of our strategic vision for bringing our CNC operations to world class status.
- Projects completed on time with demonstrable measure of success to objective.
- Introduces original ideas for manufacturing improvements that generate real projects and measurable gains.
- Successful implementation of MDC, PDM, and DNC with Predator hardware and software.
- HS or GED required, or equivalent on the job experience. AS Degree in operations a plus.
- Previous manufacturing experience in a discrete process environment.
- Strong adherence to process and data analysis skills required.
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment, including sustaining of new implemented processes.
- Must be self-motivated, driven, flexible, adaptable and have a desire to implement change/improvements; results driven.
