Assembly Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Shift: 2nd Shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM)

Training will be conducted on 1st Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) for approximately 4-5 weeks.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team on 2nd shift within a growing industrial manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and employee performance goals are achieved while maintaining a positive and accountable workplace culture.

The ideal candidate will have prior leadership experience in manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, machining, or industrial production environments and possess a hands-on approach to managing teams and improving processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of approximately 25-35 production employees.
• Ensure daily production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.
• Monitor workflow and production performance to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate production activities across multiple departments to ensure smooth product flow.
• Coach, train, and develop employees while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
• Address employee relations, attendance, performance, and disciplinary matters as needed.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with engineering, quality, planning, maintenance, and operations teams.
• Track and report key production metrics, including productivity, quality, and labor utilization.
• Assist with inventory control, material movement, and work-in-process management.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Required:

• 3+ years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience leading production employees in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Mechanically inclined with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and utilize precision measuring equipment such as:
  • Micrometers
  • Calipers
  • Gauges and other inspection tools
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred:

• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Experience in metal fabrication, assembly, machining, or industrial manufacturing.
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience.
• Welding experience.
• ERP or manufacturing software experience.
• Experience working with continuous improvement initiatives.

Schedule

2nd Shift

• Monday - Friday
• 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• May extend to 1:00 AM Monday-Thursday based on production needs
• Friday overtime available as needed

Training Schedule

• Approximately 4-5 weeks on 1st Shift
• 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
