Location:

Northwest Chicago Suburbs Job Type: Full-Time
40 hours required, with 60 hours available (optional OT)
Position Summary Tek Pro  is partnered with a leading industrial equipment manufacturer in the Northwest Chicago suburbs in the search for skilled Welders! This position is responsible for welding and fabricating steel components to engineering specifications while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

Responsibilities Set up and operate welding equipment according to job requirements and approved welding procedures.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication documents to determine welding specifications.

Perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel components.

Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality and dimensional requirements.

Support the development and maintenance of welding procedures and best practices.

Assist with fabrication, assembly, and production activities as needed.

Operate shop equipment and material handling devices safely and efficiently.

Prepare finished products for shipment.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Collaborate with production and fabrication teams to meet schedules and quality expectations.

Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.

TIG welding experience on steel and stainless steel preferred.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.

Must be able to pass a welding test.

Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.

Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to quality.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation & Benefits Pay: $23.00–$28.00 per hour Benefits Include:
