CNC Mill Machine Operator (Haas / Okuma)
Looking for a CNC role where precision matters more than speed? Join our team as a CNC Mill Machine Operator and work in a clean, modern shop running Haas and Okuma equipment.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys longer production runs, dialing in parts, and taking pride in high-quality machining.
What You'll Do- Operate CNC mills (primarily Haas, plus Okuma) for production work
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Set up machines (tool changes, fixtures, work holding)
- Monitor runs to ensure consistent part quality
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and precision tools
- Perform in-process and final inspections
- Troubleshoot issues (dimensions, finish, tooling) and make adjustments
- Assist with basic program edits or support using Mastercam (as needed)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
- Collaborate with machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly teams
- Up to 3 years of CNC mill experience
- Experience operating Haas CNC mills
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Strong measurement skills (micrometers, calipers)
- Experience in a job shop or production environment
- Ability to perform basic setups and tool changes
- Troubleshooting mindset with attention to detail
- Experience with Okuma mills
- Familiarity with CNC programming or Mastercam
- Additional setup or advanced machining experience
- Experience working across multiple departments

Shift Options:
1st Shift: Mon–Fri, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM (+ possible Saturday OT)
2nd Shift: Mon–Thurs, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM (+ possible Saturday OT)
- 10% shift differential (once permanent)

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $52000.00/yr. Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holidays, & 401k
Workplace Type:
This is a fully onsite position in Cary, IL.
