CNC Mill Machine Operator (Haas / Okuma) – Clean Shop + Great Benefits
We're looking for a detail-oriented CNC Mill Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you'll operate Haas and Okuma CNC mills in a quality-driven job shop environment where precision matters more than speed. If you enjoy working on longer runs, dialing in parts, and taking pride in high-quality work—this is a great fit.
Work Environment & ScheduleWell-maintained, modern machine shop. Equipment includes primarily Haas CNC mills (24 machines total).
Shift Options:
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM (+ possible OT Saturday)
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM (+ possible OT Saturday)
- 10% shift differential (once permanent)
Team-oriented, safety-first environment
What You'll Do- Operate CNC mills (Haas & Okuma) for production jobs
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Set up machines by changing tools, fixtures, and work holding
- Monitor machines during runs to ensure consistent quality
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools
- Perform in-process and final inspections
- Troubleshoot issues (dimensions, finish, tooling) and make adjustments
- Assist with basic program edits or support using Mastercam (when needed)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Collaborate with teams across machining, fabrication, assembly, and welding
- Up to 3 years of CNC mill experience
- Experience running Haas CNC mills
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Strong skills using micrometers and calipers
- Experience in a job shop or production environment
- Ability to change tooling and perform basic setups
- Basic troubleshooting ability
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Experience with Okuma mills
- Familiarity with CNC programming and Mastercam
- Additional exposure to milling operations and setup work
- Comfortable working in a multi-department manufacturing environment
- Clean, organized shop with 20+ CNC machines

This is a Permanent position based out of Cary, IL.
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $52000.00/yr. Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holidays, & 401k
This is a fully onsite position in Cary,IL.
