Electrical Panel Builder
Location:

Coilcraft, Inc. is a privately held global manufacturer headquartered in Cary, Illinois, with a 75+ year reputation for engineering excellence. We are seeking an Electrical Panel Builder / Machine Wiring Associate to join our custom machine design and engineering team. In this hands‑on role, you'll build and wire electrical control panels, support machine assembly, and help bring custom automation equipment from concept to production.
Aboutthe Role and Your Impact
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
- Build, modify, drill, assemble, and wire electrical control panels and control boxes
- Solder PC boards, cable assemblies, and high‑density connectors
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and support machine startup and testing
- Update Bills of Materials (BOMs) and electrical documentation
- Use wire crimping tools, hand tools, and electrical assembly equipment
- Work closely with engineers and technicians on custom machine builds
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and quality
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of wiring and soldering experience
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Basic Windows PC skills
- Good math skills and mechanical aptitude
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to use hand tools and wire crimping tools throughout the workday
- Experience building industrial control panels
- CAD experience
- Experience with custom automation or machine wiring
- Knowledge of electrical testing and troubleshooting
- Build custom automation equipment
- Work alongside experienced engineers and technicians
