As the Material Handler, you will unload, check and compare material to purchase order. Verify count and part numbers. Receive and store materials plus prepare materials for use in all of the production areas. This role also includes safely transporting product to and from a local vendor as required. Maintain records reflecting receipts and disbursements.
Your Responsibilities:
Receive purchase orders/materials assuring accuracy of receipts. Assure completion of materials on a daily basis. Label material properly with correct part numbers and distribute material to departments/inventory locations as required.
Inspect, count, weigh or measure material or items from incoming shipments for correct part number and count verifying information against purchase order/packing list.
Receive in computer system to correct location.
Perform cycle counting and make adjustment to records on inventory as directed.
Operate fork lift as required.
Fill pick tickets and kits as requested.
Transport materials/products to and from a local vendor using a company vehicle, following all safety and company policies.
Load and unload materials for vendor deliveries, ensuring product integrity and accuracy.
May be assigned additional tasks as needed.
Our Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED preferred1 – 3 years material handling experience
Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record (required)
Ability to safely operate a company vehicle for local deliveries
Dependable
Ability to read scales and rulers
Computer skills, Word and Excel Basic math skills
Work fairly independently or under minimal supervision of the Supervisor Ability to effectively communicate to employees, supervisors and management
Safety/quality minded
Good work ethic
Organized and detail oriented
Self-starter
Takes responsibilities for own actions including the impact of own decisions on others
Ability to label material properly
Previous experience using a material resource planning system is a plus
Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00 (2nd shift has a 15% shift differential)
