What a typical day looks like
You review routers and blueprints, load computerized instructions, set tools, and dial in offsets. You perform first‑article inspections with precision instruments, run in‑process quality checks, and document results in logs and reports. Throughout the shift, you monitor cycle times, tune programs, and coordinate workflow so production goals are met. When a challenge pops up, you troubleshoot issues, adjust tooling, and keep the line moving—safely and with quality front of mind.
How you will contribute
Set up and operate turning centers and milling centers to produce close‑tolerance parts per work orders, routers, and blueprints.
Study drawings, samples, and manuals; load and verify CNC programs; install and qualify tooling for conventional and tight‑tolerance work.
Perform quality tests, operational checks, and part verification using precision metrology.
Complete production paperwork, sign‑offs, forms, logs, and electronic records accurately.
Assist with training operators, coordinating workflow, supporting production scheduling, and managing materials and inventory.
Pitch in with additional tasks as needed and help drive continuous improvement.
What you bring
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Fluency with calipers, micrometers, indicators, edge finders, and blueprint reading.
Hands‑on experience with CNC controls, cutting tools, deburring, and final handling to customer specs.
Self‑directed, organized, detail‑oriented, and safety/quality focused.
Clear communicator across teams and levels; accountable for decisions and their impact.
Technical depth we valueGD&T interpretation and application.
Equipment and process troubleshooting.
CNC tooling selection and optimization.
CNC programming, including G‑code and M‑code.
CNC machine installation, machine geometry, and alignment.
Setup and changeover for production runs; precision measurement and hand metrology.
Lathe and milling fundamentals for multi‑operation parts.
Machines and technologiesCNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC):
Haas, Okuma, Doosan.
CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC):
Haas.
CNC Lathe (5+ axis):
Okuma.
