The Role
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the quality assurance program within the manufacturing environment. This role ensures that products meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements by implementing robust quality systems, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization.
Your Responsibilities- Leads Quality System Management activities, such as Risk Assessments, Document Control, Customer Complaints, Formal Corrective Actions, Internal/External Audits, Calibration and other activities as needed to ensure effectiveness of the QMS.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO and other relevant standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain ASME and the Quality Management System (QMS) to align with national board requirements.
- Ensure quality assurance and control processes are established across production lines, including inspections, testing, and audits.
- Monitor and analyze production quality metrics; identify root causes of defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), customer complaints, and support supplier quality management.
- Oversee calibration and maintenance of inspection and testing equipment.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, customer specifications, and internal standards.
- Train and mentor staff on quality procedures, tools, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior leadership.
- Lead internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits.
- Direct customer interface and support (Semiconductor partners and others).
- Support OPEX and LEAN initiatives.
- Successfully maintain annual certification renewals for ISO and ASME.
- Lead data analysis for COPQ.
- Manage execution and closure of RMAs, MRBs and other non-compliance to customer requirements.
- Provides direction to the QE’s for customer product quality escapes, score-card improvement actions, product, equipment, process qualification actions.
- Support production on scrap reduction and control through the use of data collected from MRBs.
- Develop and foster a learning environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in a quality management role within a discrete manufacturing environment. CNC, fabrication and assembly process experience desired.
- Strong knowledge of ISO , Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, statistical process control (SPC) and exposure to ITAR requirements.
- Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, A3, Root Cause Analysis, and CAPA.
- Experience with ERP and QMS software systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of SPC software, CMM, MS Office, MS Dynamics ERP a plus
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a professional business environment verbally, electronically and written.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), CQM/OE (Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence), or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt are preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship, both now and in the future.
Pay Range: $150,000 - $175,000
