Position: R&D Scientist (HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vi)
Job Description

We are seeking an R&D Scientist to work onsite at our client site in Cary, IL. This role is W2 hourly with Roth Staffing (Ledgent Technology is a division of Roth), and is slated to run for one year (could be extended). No 3rd party candidates can be considered.

Pay Rate: $38.71/hr.

Location: Cary, IL

Start/End Dates: 5/26/2026 - 11/25/2027

Job Description:

Conduct fundamental or applied research to improve, or generate new; products, components, equipment, systems, and processes.

This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision.

Day to Day Tasks:

Developing methods on analytical instrumentation, usage of lab notebooks, following/drafting procedures, stakeholder interactions, sample execution.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in chemistry

Experience Must Haves:
  • Proficiency in HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, and other analytical instrumentation - 6 years
  • Ability to develop methods on the previously listed instruments - 6 years
  • Exceptional communication and problem solving skills - 6 years
  • Experience working in a GMP environment
  • Experience Nice to Haves:
  • Technical writing
  • Lab Safety
  • LIMS
