ROLE

Schnabel is seeking a Pile Driver to assist with the building of specialty underground structures. Our goal is to find a Pile Driver or Carpenter with experience in the successful installation of piles, walers, steel bracing, and other unique structural support methods for deep excavations. As a pile driver, you will assist our job site superintendent and project manager to ensure that we have a safely run and profitable project.

You will be a leader on site and lead by example when it comes to production, safety culture, and ability to follow a plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • You will install piles, lagging, walers, braces, and more.
  • Accurately position and drive piles to the required depth and alignment, to ensure structural integrity.
  • Follow all of Schnabel’s safety regulations.
  • Responsible for safe and proficient operation of welding equipment and surveying instruments.
  • Assemble, operate, and disassemble all pile driving equipment, including rigging for drill rigs and cranes.
  • Clean and maintain all assigned equipment.
  • Clear and maintain a clean work environment without debris or potential hazards.
  • Work closely with site leadership to ensure that scope of work is being met within a timely schedule.
  • Manage your scope of work appropriately to minimize job cost.
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, and dust.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 2 years of documented experience in a pile driving role.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and schematics.
  • Structural Welding Certificate such as D1.1 / D1.5 or equivalent (not required but preferred).
  • Focus, stand, walk, kneel, climb, bend, and work from heights or within confined space during assigned shift.
  • Ability to pass pre‑employment drug test.
  • Local and regional travel as required for projects.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds of materials over rough terrain.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a safe driving record.
  • Follow all safety procedures, use proper protective equipment, and help maintain a safe job site by identifying and reporting potential hazards.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Pay Ranges $39.06 - $48.00+ per hour
